Last week we had some freezing rain/sleet. All it really did was make the road and ground ice. The kids didn't care and had lot's of fun sledding with the other kids in the neighborhood.
We went to Hendersonville, NC this past weekend for a couple of days. We took the kid's snow tubing for the first time. For the first 5 times Maria and I tubed together. Then she said in a small voice "mommy do you think I can try to go by myself." It was so much fun watching her go down the hill and back up again by herself. She is getting way too big! Wesley also enjoyed the snow tubing by after about 5 times going down the hill, he was finished. The bottom of the hill has mulch to slow you down. Otherwise you would keep on going. We ended up having to leave a day early because it started snowing. There was about 4 inches when we woke up. In the video of Wesley sledding that is the road up to the cabin we were staying in. It was scary going down the mountain but once we got to the highway the road was dry. I will have more snow pictures because it is snowing right now in Raleigh. We are expecting 3-10 inches of snow. The kid's are super excited to get to sled again. Luckily Maria is tracked out of school right now since she goes to a year round school. She has not had to miss any school.
