Busy Busy May
We have had a fun busy May. We have been to museums, strawberry picking, parks, visited the firetruck, farms, and festivals. This past weekend we went to the NC State Festival. The kid's had so much fun! They were able to ride rides and feed animals. Wesley was tall enough to ride the rides by himself. He was so proud of himself! There are several pictures of him in cars. He loves cars! He has several cars shirts, pj's, hat and even a pair of shoes. He would only wear cars attire if I let hime choose his own clothes. My new favorite thing that he does is put his hands in the air and yells, "YEAH!". Both kid's enjoyed feeding the animals. I loved hearing their giggles as they felt the tongues of the animals on their hands.
We went to Marbles museum with Barbara and Annalise. Wesley and Annalise both enjoyed the ducks and water. Wesley also had a great time with this really really big ball. The older kid's were playing on their bottoms and using their legs to kick and the whole time Wesley was in the middle chasing the ball. They let him get it sometimes and he had the biggest smile on his face. He even got knocked down hard one time and he got up giggling.
I don't have any pictures of the farm because my camera had no battery. But we went to the Wake County Food Shuttle farm. They teach people from poorer communitites to grow gardens and they grown food for the homeless shelters. The kid's were able to feed goats and chickens. The most exciting part for both of them was picking carrots and potatoes.
I can't forget that we also celebrated Sebastian's 30th birthday. I took him to a Zac Brown Concert. (Country music). We had a really good time haning out without the kid's. :) Sebastian's birthday landed on Mother's Day. The picture of me and the kid's above is from Mother's Day.
The crazy part is we have done all that and May is not even over. We are going to be going to a birthday party this weekend and then a Memorial Day Picnic. Maybe June won't be so busy but hopefully just as much fun. We have a beach trip planned with my in-laws. I'm really looking foward to that. My kid's are
