Happy Birthday Barbara!

This is from a couple of weeks ago that we celebrated my mother-in-laws birthday. The kid's had a good time playing together. They were running around the house screaming and it sure was loud! This was our first family dinner that we didn't have anymore high chairs. They were all so cute sitting at the picnic table. I didn't get many pictures of Shiar because she ran away every time I tried to take a picture of her. The first two pictures are of Wesley's first day of preschool. He is at a new preschool this year and is doing so well. It is amazing how much he had grown and changed this year. He is thriving and its also nice because his cousin's Annalise and Shiar also attend the same preschool so he is able to seem them much more than he has in the past. Maria is also thriving in school. She is learning to read. We just started having homework and so far she enjoys doing it with us. We have only received good reports from her teacher. Maria decided she wanted to dance again. She started tap and ballet class again last week. We have had a really nice busy summer. I'm looking forward to the fall and hopefully we won't be as busy and we were in the summer.

Beach!

We spent the week at the beach with my in-laws. It was the most relaxing vacation ever! The house had a pool and the beach was also so close. The kid's were little fishes the entire week. Maria has been swimming really well this summer and Wesley has also been swimming on his own. We would usually start in the pool as soon as the kid's woke up. Usually by 8am. Then we would pop over to the beach then back to the pool. Maria was loving being in the ocean. There was a sand bar close to the shore and it blocked the waves so the ocean was calm to swim in. Maria was so cute trying to body surf. By the end of the week even Wesley was in the ocean trying to body surf. We had a couple of the kid's friends come down for a couple of days. They had so much fun together. There was an outdoor shower and I think Maria took 2-3 showers a day. You could hear her and her friend Alana in the shower singing and there 4 little feet dancing all around.  My children are growing up so fast! I'm so glad that we were able to spend the week together....no work, no school, no chores....just us family getting to be together. It was one of the best vacations I've ever had!

Soccer

Wesley has started soccer. Every Saturday his games are either at 10:30 or 11:45 am. As soon as he wakes up on Saturday for several hours I have to hear over and over again, "what time is my game? Is it time to go yet?" He get's so excited about playing. He has scored 2 goals each game he has played so far. He did really well in his game today. He was breaking away with the ball and playing good defense. He is on the same team as 3 of his friends and his dad is the coach. Proud of my little boy!

New Niece

My sister gave birth to my niece on Wednesday this past week. It was an emergency C-section because the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck. She has been in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) much is doing better and hopefully she will be discharge with my sister on Monday. Hattie is so precious and such a beautiful baby! I'm going to post a picture of Hattie and a picture of Maria. It is crazy how much they look a like.

Happy 4th Birthday Wesley!

I can not believe my baby is going to be 4 tomorrow. It has been such a wonderful 4 years. Wesley is such a happy go lucky child. His favorite things are sports and cars. He loves all sports...basketball, hockey, football and soccer. He starts soccer on Saturday. He is so excited. Sebastian is going to coach his team. He loves to sing and dance. He knows more song lyrics than I do. He is my little helper.  If there is cleaning to be done, he is asking to help me. I'm so grateful that God has placed him in my life. Love you my little man!
