Maria loves her American girl dolls. My mom bought Molly for Maria for her 5th birthday. Maria has been wanting to go to the American Girl doll shop for the last 2 years. My mom and I took Maria to the American Girl doll shop in Charlotte. We were suppose to take the train but it was cancelled due to a lot of heavy rain that we have had in our area. That didn't stop us and we drove. Well I drove and my mom and Maria sat in the back seat playing old maid, crazy 8's, hangman, etc. We got to the shop around 11am and didn't leave until 7pm. Maria smiled from ear to ear the entire time! Her doll Molly went to the spa and was cleaned, hair was restyled and her ears pierced. The store also has a little bistro and they sang to Maria and brought her a birthday milkshake. The hotel we stayed at had a special "American Girl Doll Package". They had a special bed for her doll and then they brought milk and cookies to the room at bedtime. I don't think Maria, my mom or I will ever forget this trip.
