Maria and Ethan's Birthday Party

Maria and Ethan wanted to have their birthday parties together. They are a week apart and go to the same preschool and have the same friends so it worked out great! They wanted to have a Mickey and Minnie birthday party at a bounce house. The kid's had such a great time. Since they are all in school together they all play so nicely. The bounce house was nice because only the kid's from our party were able to bounce. Maria of course had to dress up in her Minnie Mouse dress. She looked so cute!

I can't believe 4 years have passed since you came into our lives. The time has gone way too fast! Maria you are smart, beautiful, loving, caring, kind, and generous. I love hearing you sing and watching you dance. I love having you snuggle against me while we read book after book. I love how you show your love to your brother. I love when I ask you what your favorite thing was today and your response is always, "being with you mama." I love your hugs and kisses. I love how you share with your friends. I love how your heart is growing for God. I love hearing you say in the morning "I prayed last night before I went to sleep." I love your every quirk, your every smile, and even when we are having a battle of wills, I love you! My life has forever changed since you came into it. You have made me a better person. I never thought that I could love as much as I love you! Happy Birthday to my sweet sweet Maria!!

Mountain Trip and Trick or Treating....

Last weekend we decided to get away and go to the mountains. We have had so much going on this month with all of Wesley's doctor's appointments and test that it was nice to get away. We went to Seven Devil Hills, NC. It is not far from Boone. We stayed in a nice cabin and had a great time. We went to Grandfather Mountain and they were having a Halloween thing. The kid's got to trick or treat and make special treats at the fudge shop. Maria was very proud of herself when she hugged Millie the bear. She has been terrified of anything that is in costume. Wesley enjoyed seeing the bears and otters. We drove up to the top of Grandfather Mountain and went on the mile high bridge. Maria loved it and wanted to climb on all the rocks. It made her parents very nervous. Of course whatever Maria does Wesley also has to try. Much to Wesley's dismay he did not get to try.
      We did find out this week that Wesley's MRI looked pretty good. There was some old scars on his brain that the doctor said that most people have and they are not sure why. His iron level was 20 and it should be 50 so he has to take irom supplement twice a day for 3 months. The doctor said that low iron level can contribute to breath holding which can cause seizure like activity. Sebastian and I are not sure about this breathing holding because we have never seen him hold his breath. I will take it for now and trust that the doctor knows what she is talking about. I'm so thankful that is all that they think it is.
       At preschool this week they had a Fall Festival. They had so much from dressing up with their friends and getting to do games, coloring, dancing and of course you can't forget the candy! On Halloween we went to my parents neighborhood for trick or treating. The kid's got so much candy!!! Of course they were the cutest on the block in the costumes.

     Our next adventure is coming up this Sunday. My little girl is turing 4!!!! I can't believe how fast the time has gone. She brings us so much love, happiness, and joy!  Here are some fun pictures of the kid's.
