Busy Busy Spring

I can't believe it is almost April. We have been very busy. On Wednesday's we have been hanging out with Oma and Annalise. The cousin's have so much fun with each other. Wesley and Annalise get so excited when they see each other. Annalise call's Wesley "ES". It is so cute! We went to Pullen Park with Oma, Giesela and Annalise. There is a train and a carosel. All the kid's had a great time and us adult's went home and took naps. For St. Patrick Day's we went downtown Raleigh for a parade. There was face painting, bouncy houses, and of course beer. The kid's stayed away from the beer but they did eat green popcorn and that was messy! We also went to the Durham Life and Science Museum last week. Both kid's really enjoy the museum. Maria loves the butterfly exhibit. Wesely loves the dianasors. I love it because they both pass out in the car before we get home and always take a good nap afterwards. This week we went to the NC State Farmland and there were different farm animals for the kid's to see. The baby chicks were a big hit with both kid's. Maria was excited to hold the baby chick. Wesley didn't get to hold one because I was afraid he would crush the poor baby chick. There was also several John Deer tractors. That was Wesely's favorite part. He climbed into them and had to push buttons and turn the steering wheels. Maria and Wesley love to be outside. Now that it is so nice out we spend most afternoon's outside. Enjoy the pictures.

Park

We are so happy that Spring weather is upon us and we can spend more time at the park. Wesley loves slides! There is a park that has a slide that goes down a hill. He could go down that slide for hours. The great part is his laugh. Wesley is a laugher. He has this great deep belly laugh that is very contagious. I can't believe that he is not my little baby anymore. He is a toddler. He is also very independent and has no fear! He can already walk up and down stairs without help. Of course mommy has fear and won't let him do it on his own. One of his other favorite activites is playing basketball. "Ball" is his second most used word after "mommy". When he wants his daddy to pick him up so he can dunk the ball, he picks up the ball and walks backwards towards Sebastian. It is too cute! Wesley's third favorite activity is playing with cars. I turned over a laundry basket over and he played for several hours just having his cars Wesley is all boy and you can tell just by the things he loves to do.

My sick little girl

This past Sunday Maria was sick so we had to take her to the doctor. She ended up having a sinus infection on the left and an ear infection on the right. So we ended up spending a lazy relaxing day at home. Which was nice since we lost an hour of sleep. The kid's spent most of the day's in the laundry basket. Who knew the laundry basket was such a fun place to be. Maria is now feeling better and full of energy. Here are some pictures from our lazy day...
