Christmas Day Mom and Dad After all the Christmas Festivities

Chris and Ethan Christmas Breakfast

We had such a good time with our families on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On Christmas Eve we celebrated with Sebastian's family. Maria had a really good time but was not too interested in opening Christmas presents. She did love a box that was full of packing peanuts. She sat in the box and played for about 30 minutes. On Christmas morning we opened some presents at home. We got Maria a baby stroller for her dolls. As soon as she saw the stroller she walked over to her dolls and put then in the stroller. It was so cute! We spent the rest of Christmas at my parents house. We opened more presents and by the time we ate dinner Maria was so tired she fell asleep at the dinner table. I hope you all had a great Christmas!

This month has been a busy month. We started with Maria turnig 1. Then the next week her cousin Ethan turned 1 and we had a lot of fun at his birthday party. Maria has learned to walk. Her confidence is growing everyday. Over the last couple of day's she has walked more than crawled. Her vocublary is also growing. Her 2 favorite words our "da da" and "woof woof". She can also say duck, ball and apple. Her new favorite activity is to take all my magazines out of the basket and then climb in herself. We also celebrated Thanksgiving. We had a really good time with my family and Sebastian's family. We are so blessed to have such a good, funny and healthy baby. I am looking foward to the fun times to come this upcoming year.

A year old!

We can't believe that a whole year has already passed since Maria was born. I remember the months leading up to her birth and the excitment that grew daily about the day we would meet her. The joy's of being a parent is much more fulfilling than I ever thought they would be. Everyday Maria brings joy and happiness to Sebastian and I. There is never a bad day when Maria is around. She is full of smiles and laughs. Hearing her sweet voice as she talks just melts my heart. We had such a good time at her first birthday party. As always she was the star of the show. Maria took her first steps at her party. She walked about 6-7 steps to her Opa. It was great because the whole family was there (minus Barbara she was tied up...sorry about that Barbara). As you can see from the pictures she really enjoyed her cake. I was afraid her face was going to be stained for a week with pink icing. Thank you so much for sharing this year with Maria. We are looking foward to all the years to come and the excitment each year will bring.

Well we just got back from Germany and had a great time! Maria did so well. She was so happy and as always stole everyone's hearts! Sebastian and I realized during this trip that our baby is no longer a baby. She is going to be one in a couple of weeks and she is acting like a one year old. Maria took her first little step while we were in Germany. She is mostly furniture walking and has gotten very good at it. My favorite new thing Maria does is her singing. Anytime she hears music she starts to sway back and forth and sing. I'm hoping to get some video soon of her doing it. Here are just a few of the many pictures we took.....
